The Computing and Informatics Centre (CCI) was established in early 2007 and was initially known as the Infrastructure and ICT Department. At that time, the centre was responsible not only for ICT-related matters but also for the development, maintenance, and provision of electrical, mechanical, and civil services.
In 2009, the Infrastructure and ICT Department underwent a restructuring process and was divided into two separate entities. The Information Technology and Communication Department (JTMK) was formed to focus on ICT services, while the Development, Infrastructure and Services Department (JPIP) was tasked with the development and maintenance of the University’s physical buildings, including electrical, mechanical, civil, architectural, and quantity surveying services.
At the end of 2011, further restructuring was carried out, resulting in the transformation of the Information Technology and Communication Department (JTMK) into the Information Technology Centre (PTM). In 2016, another phase of renewal took place when the Information Technology Centre (PTM) was rebranded as the Computing and Informatics Centre (CCI).
Effective 1 February 2026, in line with the University’s digital transformation agenda, the Computing and Informatics Centre (CCI) was rebranded as the Digital Transformation Centre (DiTeC@UMK).
